This is a comprehensive review of the space acquisition process, comparative lease analysis, valuing leasehold interests, and lease exit strategies. Key focus areas include: identifying the major decisions users face concerning the acquisition, holding period, and disposition of space; calculating the natural breakpoint and amount of percentage rent needed in specific retail lease provisions; comparing and contrasting the economics of alternative lease decisions; and calculating the impact of financial reporting requirements and financial ratios on user real estate decisions.
This course can be purchased with or without CE credit. As these are new courses, the Institute has begun the application process for CE approval of the online format as well as approval from independent state commissions. We are also happy to support our members that have licenses in states where course submission via individual credit is permitted. We will provide updates as credit is received.
